An impressive Paul Storr Sterling silver Classical vase on stand for Rundell, Bridge and Rundell, 1811-12. The flared footed urn has a foliate molded edge and is mounted with large scrolled floral and branch decorated handles. The vase sits atop a square platform with reeded sides above highly decorated cabriole legs with floral returns and paw feet. This all rest on a squared and paneled platform with matching foliate decorated moldings.  The front of this platform is neatly engraved with the coat of arms and motto for the Scottish Earl of Dysart, “Confido conquiesco”. Markers marks are found at the base of the platform and beneath the footed urn. The underside of the urn is also marked by the prestigious royal goldsmiths of Rundell, Bridge and Rundell. Paul Storr (1770-1844) is most well-known for his Neoclassical forms, many of which were produced this celebrated firm. Height 20 -¾”.  Width 20”.  289.46 Troy oz.   Lot 54.
